Yesterday and today were huge days for your NLRPD. 

Yesterday, we celebrated the retirements of three of North Little Rock's Finest. 

Officer 1st Class Don Maggard retired after 25 years of Law Enforcement Service. He started his LE career at Camden PD, eventually promoting to SGT. He then decided to bring his experience and service to your NLRPD.

SGT. Sam Morshedi retired after 33 years of Law Enforcement Service. Spending his entire career at your NLRPD. Starting as a Patrol Officer in the late 80's he quickly earned a promotion to SGT. spending the majority of his career on Patrol supervising and mentoring hundreds of Officers over the years.

LT. Jim Scott retired after 31 years of Law Enforcement Service. Spending his entire career at your NLRPD. LT. Scott quickly promoted through the ranks and is one of your NLRPD's most famous Public Information Officers. He too has supervised and mentored hundreds of Officers over the years.

Today we celebrated the retirement of one of North Little Rock's Finest. 

Interim Chief of Police, Tracy Roulston retired after 33 years of Law Enforcement Service. Spending his entire career at your NLRPD. Chief Roulston also quickly rose through the ranks ultimately being chosen to Lead your NLRPD for more than a year. He too has supervised and mentored hundreds of Officers over the years.

So... With all of those retirements come PROMOTIONS!

Your NLRPD was proud that the following Officers were promoted:

Officer 1st Class Chris Gann was promoted to SGT. and has been assigned to Patrol as a Shift Supervisor. 

Officer 1st Class Bill Elizandro was promoted to SGT. and has been assigned to Patrol as a Shift Supervisor. 

Officer 1st Class Matt Thomas was promoted to SGT. and has been assigned to Patrol as a Shift Supervisor. 

SGT. Todd Gravett was promoted to LT. and has been assigned to Patrol as a Zone Commander. 

SGT. Amy Cooper was promoted to LT. and been assigned to Patrol as a Zone Commander. 

LT. Kim Francisco was promoted to CAPT. and has been assigned as the Patrol Division Commander. 

And....LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST!!!!

CAPT. Pat Thessing was named the newest Chief of Police of your NLRPD by Mayor Terry Hartwick.

All of the promotions were overseen and Oaths of Office were given by Honorable Paula Jones, NLR Criminal Court District Judge.

Thank you to Mayor Hartwick for his continued support of the Officers of your NLRPD and Judge Jones for presiding over these promotions. 

But, most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THESE FINE OFFICERS on their retirements and promotions!!!
