A prescribed burn in Burns Park was performed on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Approximately 200 acres were burned to remove leaf litter and fire fuel. More than 30 members, volunteers, and staff representing The Nature Conservancy, Quail Forever, Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, Arkansas Agriculture Forestry Division, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Central Arkansas Master Naturalists, Camp Robinson Fire Department, NLRFD, and the NLR Parks Department helped in making this a safe and successful burn.
