Mayor CLARIFIES Mask Policy in the City of North Little Rock

Thursday, April 22, 2021….North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick issued the following statement on March 30, 2021:

NLR Mayor Continues Mask Policy

Tuesday, March 30, 2021…Governor Hutchinson announced this afternoon that the statewide mask requirement has expired. However, private and government entities have the option to require masks inside their facilities. “The City of North Little Rock will continue our mask policy for city-owned buildings until further notice,” Mayor Terry C. Hartwick.

There has been some misunderstanding concerning the mask policy in North Little Rock and the statement issued on March 30, 2021. To clarify, the mask policy in North Little Rock is only mandatory for CITY-OWNED BUILDINGS. Private businesses have the option to require masks if they wish, but all businesses in North Little Rock are not under a mask mandate. Moving forward, Mayor Hartwick will evaluate the mask policy for city-owned buildings each month.
